Violin Lessons
Violin lessons start by focusing on the bowing technique and posture, which are really important in creating a strong foundation for what comes later; what we learn in the first few lessons will always be fundamental to playing the violin.
At The Music Development we use a combination of traditional and Suzuki method that is tailored to the age and ability of the student, to keep a balance between progressing and making sure that learning the violin is fun and rewarding. Our aim isn't just to progress through the grades and get qualifications, but to create versatile musicians who can collaborate with others, in orchestras, and turn their hand to different types of music and pick up new styles fast. That is why we like to focus on working towards grade exams, technique, but also sight-reading, improvisation, and performing in front of an audience.
